Welcome to the Pastor’s Page... I hope you are enjoying your visit, and thank you for taking some time to check out my little corner of the FCC website. As the pastor of the First Congregational UCC in Spencer, I invite you to spend some time with us and enjoy some good fellowship in Christ Jesus.

Coming to FCC Spencer was like coming home for me. You can still see the glow in me from the warm welcome that I received when I began my ministry here in Spencer. I feel very blessed to be here, and can tell you from personal experience that new comers are very much at home here. You become part of this church family very quickly. You’ll find that I enjoy being creative, playing in the Holy Spirit, and connecting with other people. I am very happily married to Christilynn Wildman since 2004, and have a dog named Romeo.

I hope to share a little more about myself here with you, both what I have done before and what I have planned. Thank you visiting, and enjoy!

I began my service as Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Spencer, UCC, in 2008, after having served UCC churches in Norway, Maine (2006-2008, as Pastor) and Atkinson, NH (2004-2006, as Associate Pastor of Christian Education, Youth and Family Ministry). I also served as a summer interim pastor in Jamaica, VT in 2003. Before beginning my ministry, I worked for 6 years at Foxwoods Resort Casino as a stagehand in the entertainment department, specializing in stage lighting and administration (1996-2002.) I have also worked for my family’s flooring business at various times over the years, typically during school breaks growing up, and later, between my ministries in Vermont and New Hampshire. I hold a BA in Theater Studies from the University of Connecticut (1997) and a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School (2003). I grew up in Waterbury, CT and have lived all over New England during the course of my carriers and education.
